Frequently Asked Questions

What is an R.H.N.?

An R.H.N, or a Registered Holistic Nutritionist is an educator in wellness and prevention through natural nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, and the mind-body connection.

What is the difference between an R.H.N. and a Dietician?

A Nutritionist is a holistic professional, who uses science and symptomology to identify each client's unique nutritional requirements, supporting wellness and prevention at its root cause.  A Dietitian alters their patient's nutrition based upon their medical diagnosis and individual needs with the application of the Canada Food Guide.

Are you the same as a doctor?

The role of an R.H.N is to help you achieve optimal health through diet and lifestyle coaching.  This may involve a symptomatic evaluation for nutritional imbalances, however it is beyond my scope of practice to diagnose, or prescribe medication for the purpose of treating illness.  If you are currently in the care of a physician or naturalpath, a nutrition and lifestyle plan can be designed to support your path to wellness.

How do I get a consultation with you?

For consultations please email Laura@livefastlivefit.com

Do you work with both men and women?

Each person has unique nutritional needs; regardless of gender, age, or current health status I am here to educate and motivate you towards a healthier lifestyle.

I've tried to be heathy before, how do I stick with it?

I recommend adding a coaching plan to your personalized nutrition and fitness program for motivation and accountability.

I have food allergies, can you still work with me?

Absolutely!  As a Nutritionist I am educated in elimination diets, and I have first hand experience eating an allergy-free diet in my own home.

Where can I find pricing?

Personalized nutrition is not a one-size-fits all approach.  From the consultation, a package is designed to suit your individual health and lifestyle needs.  Contact me for more information.

Are you covered under my employee healthcare benefits?

Holistic Nutrition is not yet a government regulated form of healthcare, and therefore is not commonly covered through employment benefits.

What is a P.T.S?

P.T.S, or a Personal Training Specialist is a certified personal trainer qualified to educate and motivate others to perform safe and effective exercise.

Can I book you for personal training?

Fitness programs are designed for you to do on your own either at home in a gym setting.  Online coaching is available for your guidance and motivation.  If you prefer one on one personal training I recommend that you seek out a trainer at the gym you attend, or email me for help and I may be able to refer you to one in your area.

What is a C.C.P?

A C.C.P. is a Certified Coach Practitioner, also referred to as a Health Coach or Life Coach.  A coach's role is to be keen to each client's strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies to support achieving their goals for personal development.

Can you come and cook my meals for me?

I'm sorry, my hands are full!
